Nyala (Tragelaphus angasii) - derived from the Swahili word.

Adult nyalas have an average mass of 130kg and a hight of more or less 105cm. The bull has long twisted horns.

The nyala is seen as the animal type where division takes place between bulls/rams and cows/ewes. The male is a bull and the female is a ewe. Male bucks bigger than the nyala is called bulls and smaller than the nyala is called rams. The female counterpart is called cows vs ewes.

The ewe is pregnant for six months, after which a single lam is born. Nyala has a potential lifespan of 8 years.
